#RestoreBissell Tweet-up

You are invited to Bissell Centre's #RestoreBissell tweet-up!

The tweet-up takes place this Thursday at the Pourhouse Bier Bistro on Whyte Avenue. What is #RestoreBissell, you ask? It’s is a digital fundraising campaign created specifically to help re-open the Bissell Centre Thrift Shoppe after the recent devastating fire. The campaign goes live Monday, July 28th and ends on August 8th. We will be encouraging people to visit www.restorebissell.org and make a donation to help us reach our $25,000 goal, which will provide us with the remaining funds needed to get the Thrift Shoppe back up and running in the fall.

Now, more about the tweet-up. Essentially, it'll be a group of socially active friends getting together over some drinks and snacks to achieve a common goal: highlighting Bissell Centre's current need and sharing the opportunity to help. We will not be actively fundraising during the event, but casually raising awareness—while enjoying some good company! There'll be finger food provided, and a complementary beverage courtesy of the Pourhouse. We'll also be giving away some exceptional draw prizes from some generous local businesses.

All in all, it's going to be a good time—for a good cause. I hope you can make it!
